The 2018 floods highlighted the need for strong social and ecological bonds, starting with children and youth. In response, CRC is developing school-based programmes to nurture memory, social skills, communication, attention, and empathy—core capacities for resilience and community engagement.
This academic year, CRC launched a pilot workshop for fifth-grade students, in partnership with Habit Theory and Parent Teacher Associations at Elenthikkara High School and VCSHSS Puthenvelikkara. The workshops are part of a year-long programme designed to connect students with their communities and environment.
CRC aims to support schools across Puthenvelikkara in delivering such co-curricular initiatives—laying the foundation for a more responsive, connected, and resilient future generation.
